Homeowners are reminded to always call before you dig

[Greensboro, NC] (April 26, 2016) – Ingles Markets continually support NC811 to share the message of safe digging.  With April being National Safe Digging Month, Ingles Markets recognize the importance of calling 811 before all outdoor projects.  Safe digging educational information will be shared with homeowners at each of their garden centers throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.  Furthermore, over 45,000 hanging baskets will share the national 811 logo to homeowners as well.  Van Wingerden International, Inc. supplier of the hanging baskets applied the stickers to each basket in support of Ingle’s mission to keep residents safe.

Louis Panzer, Executive Director of NC811 stated, “Ingles Markets is a perfect partner to share the message through their garden centers.  Not only do they care about the health of their customers, they also care about their safety as well as the safety of the community. ”

Ingles Markets and Van Wingerden International, Inc. were chosen as Safe Digging Partners in September, 2015.  To learn more about becoming a safe digging partner, visit http://www.nc811.org/safe-digging-partner.html
